Dance: Making Music Visible
Dance: Making Music Visible is a tribute to dance. It will be a one night only performance featuring a wide range of dancers with rhythms and stylistic roots from hip-hop, popping, break dancing, salsa, tango, jazz, ballet, and more.
Although these dancers stem from a variety of different dance troupes and organizations, they have united to express that dance is more than entertainment, it is a way to connect and engage communities in conversations about gender, power struggle, and solidarity. Dance: Making Music Visible is directed by UCSC Senior, Karla Flores.
This free event will take place at the Stevenson Event Center, Monday, May 4th at 8 PM (Doors open at 7:30 PM)
