Join us this Tuesday, April 14th, as we celebrate April 13, 2002, the day millions of working class Venezuelans mobilized to restore democracy after a brief coup d'etat against democratically-elected president Hugo Chavez.
We will be showing the documentary:
Llaguno Bridge Keys To A Massacre /
Puente Llaguno: Claves de una Masacre
Venezuelan filmmaker Angel Palacios presents a compelling dossier of the coup d'etat of April 2002 against democratically-elected Presidet Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, showing testimonies, video footage and facts to unmask the conspiracies and plots leading up to the shootings at Llaguno Bridge, near the Presidential Palace in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.
The film exposes the role of the Venezuelan media in the coup by twisting facts and news to blame the massacre on President Chávez and pave the way for the military coup that installed the head of the Chamber of Commerce as dictator.
Directed by Angel Palacios and produced by the National Association of Alternative, Free and Community Media of Venezuela (ANMCLA).
English and Spanish with English subtitles
