WHAT: Maria Muldaur the roots-folk and blues singer best known for her 1974 song "Midnight at the Oasis" will join forces with community leaders to support Marin Services for Women at their Annual Benefit Dinner. The event displays the energy and commitment MSW's supporters have to prevent the cycle of substance abuse and trauma affecting women and their children in our community. This year's 7th Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction is expecting 300 guests and is anticipated to raise $150,000. The dinner honors women who have shared their addiction recovery experiences openly and honestly, and who serve as role models of strength and survival to other women. In addition to the musical entertainment and dinner the following awards will be presented: 2009 Susan P. Kennedy Alumna Leadership Award, 2009 MSW Founders Award, and the Marin Public Service Award.
