Condemned as a terrorist organization, Hamas is a complex organization whose existence has far-reaching implications for the region. What is the organization’s role? With leaders exiled, what will become of Hamas? Is the organization best engaged by the international community or marginalized? Australian journalist of the year Paul McGeough takes an in-depth look at the rise of Hamas and its prospects for the future. McGeough is the author of Kill Khalid, a history of Hamas and its notorious leader, Khalid Mishal.
