Volunteer: Coho Salmon Habitat Restoration
SPAWN (The Salmon Protection and Watershed Network) is hosting weekly restoration efforts every Saturday in the Lagunitas Watershed! This is shaping up to be a year that may go down in history as one of the worst for Coho spawning, but these endangered fish bounced back from 1970s lows and they will need our help to recover and prosper again. One of the most critical things we can do is to improve and preserve the habitat they require to thrive.
We need you!
Remove invasive species, plant natives homegrown in SPAWN's nursery, learn about native plants, Coho ecology, and why habitat restoration is so important.
Check http://www.spawnusa.org/upcomingevents/number-5 on Fridays!
