Green Gulch Farm & Zen Center Beginning Beekeeping
Workshop participants will get hands-on experience harvesting the Green Gulch honey crop. Steps include removing honey from the bee colonies, using equipment to crush and strain the honey, and bottling honey. Plans for a simple honey extractor will be distributed. Anyone may attend (Parts I and II not required), and children are welcome. Lunch is included in the cost of the workshop. All workshop participants will take home a bottle of freshly extracted honey. Meets in small dining room.
Fee: $50, $45 members, $30 limited income
NOTE: Part IV of the series will be on Saturday, July 25.

Related Bio(s): Alan Hawkins Alan Hawkins received the bodhisattva precepts (jukai) in 1992 and works with bees at Green Gulch and in Tracy.
