Friends of Tristan and Palestine Rally, San Francisco, 3/26/09: audio and photos

I wish I could have been there at this event, but I was not in town. I was one of the people assaulted by the cops after I was targeted for taking photos of them attacking the person w/ the earth flag right in front of me. C. Musselman (pig - name clearly seen on video) started shoving me against the building and telling me to back the fuck up. As I was grabbing a back pack & started to walk away (so as to not receive a baton to the head - they were swinging wildly just a couple feet in front of me at this point), he then grabbed me & threw me on the pavement in front of about a half-dozen to a dozen onlookers including the KTVU news reporter. She came up to me afterwards to ask if I was okay & that she saw the whole thing & I didn't do anything & saw that I had my back turned to him. She asked if I was going to be around to talk to me afterwards & to find her, but as the riot cops started slowly blocking us in to possibly make mass arrests, I had had enough & got the hell out of there. Of course her report on the news said nothing of the all-out attack on the protesters, who were just milling around waiting for wrap-up. Naturally, they only mentioned a confrontation, making us look like the perps & making the cops look like they're just "doing their job".

I know that I got out of that situation pretty lucky actually, considering other people got seriously injured & hospitalized & all I got were bruises, scrapes, and the crap scared out of me. The whole thing is caught on camera, and I certainly thought about filing a complaint at the least.

That reminds me, does anyone have the email address of the lawyer that I can contact? I would be happy to witness.

Also, I was at the war demonstration on Saturday as well & was again right in the middle of another swarm of riot cops, swinging batons & seeing young women with golf-ball sized baton wounds on the head. I was, however, heartened to see the crowd of protesters fight back & push the cops out & back onto the street & edges by sheer force of will & lung power. "SFPD hands off the people!", "Pigs go home!", "Just like Oakland"!

It's pretty clear that the rabid hired goons that protect the United Corporation of America are at war with the very people, I mean slaves, they are supposed to "serve and protect". But after everything I've seen over the last few months, I am NOT SCARED, you bastard blood-thirsty cops, I am MORE angry & determined!!
