Toy Testing Clinic

Center for Environmental Health recently found high levels of lead in children's jewelry and other products at stores such as Wal-Mart and Target.

CEH is offering free testing to help parents in the Bay area know if their children's toys are safe. The tests give instant readings on lead and other potential hazards. We can test two toys per person when there is a line of people waiting; more toys if there is no line. New toys that test positive for lead at a clinic may be eligible for cash exchange (up to $25 for the first toy, $10 for second toy).

Co-sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, Oakland Medical Center, Departments of Pediatrics and Health Education.

See website for complete listing.

Cost: Free.
