617 Walnut Ave (a couple houses uphill /NW from the Mission St. intersection)
The Grow Food Party Crew is digging in the dirt, singing to the birds, celebrating the goodness of community, and making abundance appear right before our very eyes….
Saturday, March 28th 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
617 Walnut Ave (a couple houses uphill /NW from the Mission St. intersection)
The Grow Food Party Crew is a playful approach to growing food and building community. The goal is to inspire an ever-expanding group of people to create and maintain vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, and edible landscaping in neighborhoods across the country.
Bring your heart and soul, your strong back, your creativity, gratitude, and sense of play. The Grow Food Party Crew is a bunch of people working and playing together to create a Santa Cruz edible oasis, one garden at a time.
On this day, we’ll building a family/community garden that will also serve as the hub for “Food in the Hood,” a neighborhood food sharing network on the west side of Santa Cruz.
Bring:
Gardening tools, musical instruments, toys, work clothes, and your friends—all ages are welcome!
Please RSVP—even if you think you might come—to: Devin Slavin, the MC of the Grow Food Party.
