People's Tribunal: Oscar Grant & the Epidemic of Police Brutality, Oakland 3/22/09: photos
On Sunday, March 22nd, Revolution Books and the Bay Area Revolution Club held a "People's Tribunal" at Calvin Simmons Middle School in Oakland to examine the police murder of Oscar Grant III and countless others. Activists, an academic, a former BART employee, the author of Stolen Lives book, and families spoke to share their experiences and learnings from being the victims of police abuse and/or confronting the issue.
Missing photos of Opie Santos, of the Bay Area Revolution Club, and Cornelius Hall (who was not present), father of Jerrold Hall, killed by BART police in 1992.
