Video of Unprovoked SFPD Attack on Demonstration
Raw video, March 16: San Francisco police brutally attack a small group of peaceful demonstrators in front of the Israeli Consulate, without provocation and without any warning. A swarm of officers rushed the group of 20 or 30 and beat them with batons, threw a number of people to the ground and continued to beat them while restrained, then arrested the demonstrators and threw them into waiting SFPD vans.
Video of the attack is shaky/blurry in places, the scene was highly chaotic and there was too much going on to film at once. I did not anticipate the attack at all and it was only by chance that I was filming as it began.
