Sacramento-based Francisco Dominguez is a photographer and art educator. His photographs and portraits allude to the cultural environment of Chicano history and culture. The infrared-sensitive film he uses creates an ethereal atmosphere, a timeless reflection of the cultural legacy of his subjects. Dominguez's photography gives an unexpected twist to the common assumption that documentary photographs reveal "objective" portrayals. Dominguez has participated in many exhibitions in California. The California Arts Council has supported his work.
