We are determined to send 30,000 Hot Pink Bikes to the ordinary, everyday women and girls of Afghanistan from the ordinary, everyday women and girls of the United States – instead of sending 30,000 soldiers.
We are heart-broken, horrified, enraged even that our new administration is threatening to continue U.S. imperialist aggression by escalating war and violence against the people of Afghanistan.
This, as all our actions, is a multi-layered Endeavor that will be an organizing tool for the left to prevent the continued and escalated attack on Afghanistan; an educational tool for average U.S. Americans to spread information and knowledge about the people, culture, country of Afghanistan; as well as a way to connect with the women and children, the widows and orphans of Afghanistan.
Come gather with CodePINK and our allies as we figure out the details: the who, what, where, how of this endeavor.
We will meet in the back room at Mudraker's Cafe. Call 510-540-7007 for more info
Also, we are collecting - and painting - girls' and women's mountain bikes in good working order (or easily repaired) at the MRS (marine recruiting station) every Wednesday from noon to 2:00pm
