The Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale concept is simple: From June 20 through June 28, groups across the globe hold vegan bake sales. Each participating group can do whatever it wants with the proceeds. It's very decentralized.
Compassion for Animals (http://www.compassion4animals.org), a relatively new DC-based grassroots animal advocacy group, will use the event and its media contacts to get positive press for veganism.
So you can raise funds for your cause, plus be part of something bigger that helps animals, the environment, and human health.
