There are now over 2,000 political prisoners in Burma, and an estimated 3 million people have become displaced by the Burmese military junta.
The event speakers are Min Zin, a participant in the 1988 democratic uprising and now a teaching fellow at UC Berkeley’s Journalism School, and Zoya Phan, a Karen refugee who escaped a military attack on her village, and is now the international coordinator of Burma Campaign UK.
Suggested donation of $15 to benefit the Burmese American Democratic Alliance (BADA), event organizer. Co-sponsored by BFUU Social Justice Ctee. and Buddhist peace Fellowship
