We will provide a general overview of the work that has taken place within the Beach Flats neighborhood and the power and importance
of moving beyond the dependent/independent duality.

This collective approach and the recognition of our interdependence have transformed the Beach Flats neighborhood into a child and family- centered community. The current economic crisis will be a test of our creativity and capacity to connect to friends, family and community.
