Eyewitness Gaza - A Multimedia Report Back from Occupied Gaza Strip, Palestine
With social justice activists, Donna and Darlene Wallach who recently returned from Gaza Strip, Palestine, after living in there and volunteering with International Solidarity Movement (ISM) from August to December, 2008. They witnessed first hand the brutality of the Israeli occupation and blockade of Gaza and experienced the impact of Israel's collective punishment of Gaza living alongside ordinary Palestinian people.
Come listen to Donna and Darlene speak about the spirit, resilience, kindness, generosity, and sense of humor of the Palestinian people and the peaceful ways they survive the extreme hardships of Israeli blockade and violence.
Back in August, 2008, both Darlene and Donna joined with other human rights workers to break Israel's blockade of Gaza. They sailed to Gaza on the SS Liberty and the SS Free Gaza to become the first people to freely enter Gaza port by sea in 41 years! Visit FreeGaza.org for more about the Free Gaza Movement and palsolidarity.org to read about ISM. Don't miss this historic report back.
