is a friend or relative of Andrew Moppin, killed by OPD exactly one year before BART killed Oscar Grant
Don't let them overpower us, we have to keep it going at full force.
When's the next protest? We need to have at least one next week. Where's that CAPE organization been at?

we are also trying to figure out when pig Mehserle's pre-trial hearing is. it is scheduled sometime this friday, but the "Inmate Search" website has been "down"; seems shady to me, but in any case, folks should keep checking it periodically: http://www.acgov.org/sheriff_app/inmateSearch.do

Are the Homeland security police cars just a type of backup for regular police departments, that are at work every day?
At the 2005 WTO protest in the Mission district, the sequence of decisions or behaviors by the department was unusual compared with other San Francisco protests (Greg Suhr commanding the response that day). After having something like 100+ officers initially following closely and trying to keep people on sidewalks, they arrested someone for bringing a loud stereo. Then the police all went back to the station except for a few officers. What I couldn't understand is whether Suhr really believed that the protest had dispersed and gone home, or couldn't find them over at the BART station. Then, about 10 minutes later when there was a fight with some regular patrol officers who had driven towards the group at high speed in a panicked fashion, among the first backup officers to respond were these DHS police. They both had that Dept. Homeland Security vehicle, and (to Josh Wolf on tape) were saying 'I'm a fed, don't mess with me'. So many wondered whether they are some sort of support group, just waiting in a coffee room at one of the stations to respond when there is a shortage of regular police.
