Poor land use patterns have negative effects on public health, but new planning proposals could lead to smarter growth ideas. The American Institute of Architects, East Bay is holding a panel discussion on this vital topic.
Topics will include land use patterns and their effect on the demographics of neighborhoods, senate bill 375 and how anti-sprawl can help create healthy communities.
Panelists include:
• Moderator: Robert Shurell, AIA, Project Manager for Stantec
• Sandra Witt, Alameda County’s division director of Public Health
• Chris Bazar, Alameda County Planning
