Report on the Zapatista World Festival of Dignified Rage
February 22, 2009 – 6:30 PM
Niebyl Proctor Marxist Library
6501 Telegraph Avenue
Oakland, California
(Wheelchair Accessible)
A gathering of intellectuals from around the globe mixed with activist organizations, journalists and the EZLN offered their ideas and examples of Left organizing in a Festival of critical importance to the Zapatistas. Local activists who attended the Festival of Dignified Rage will give a report to the community with music, video and discussion. All are welcome. In recognition of the difficult economic situation many are facing, no admission will be charged at the door. (We will pass the basket for the Zapatistas during the report.)
