This documentary, hosted by Morgan Freeman, features, among others, Harry Belafonte, Ossie Davis, and Rosetta LeNoire. They all tell powerful, and not often told, stories of the "Red Scare" as it affected African-Americans - a time of blacklists, loyalty oaths and slandered reputations. These are the stories of people like Paul Robeson, Hazel Scott, and Jackie Robinson whose loyalties were questioned, whose careers were shattered, and whose struggles for social justice were subverted.
Presented by BFUU Social Justice Ctee’s Conscientious Projector Film Series
Wheelchair accessible, donations welcomed for our on-going social justice work
