Labor Film Festival To Raise Awareness for UCSC Service Workers' Contract Struggle.
UCSC Service Workers in AFSCME Local 3299 have been in a 17 month long contract struggle, fighting poverty wages at the UC. In the first day of a week of events raising awareness about the struggle; students, workers, and community members are invited to come watch a wide variety of labor films- The Take, Maquilopolis, Nude Live Girls Unite!, and a documentary on the Watsonville Cannery strike.
