Report from Oakland 7:50pm
Just returned from Downtown Oakland
A large group of kids at 14th and Broadway. Atmosphere was relatively calm, considering the police just murdered a man. Some trash can fires, garbage cans thrown in the street. Police blocked off Broadway and stormed in with riot gear. At least one young black man who appeared to be a teenager was tackled hard to the ground by a riot policeman and arrested, despite having done nothing.
Cops divided the crowd of mostly people of color youth. Even as the group got as small as five and was dispersing peacefully, the riot cops, numbered at least two dozen, continued to follow them
I talked to some folks on-hand. One passerby remarked "The police want blood. They want Los Angeles '92, well if they want it, they're going to get it."

Hey, I just walked all over and didn't see signs of anyone. I ran into someone from the NLG but he didn't have any info either and said he was leaviing. If you need assistance email me or post your approximate location. If your around downtown an update on locations would be very helpful.
