There should be a concerted effort to organize everyone involved in a solid coalition that can launch some mass protest on the issue. People are pissed. If people come together, the community can moblize itself against the state in a self-empowering way. Any one interested? Continue to post to help get the ball rolling. Throw out ideas and proposals.

I thought I would just drop some info about BART police in here so people can get ideas at maybe more places to protest or people to flood emails/calls too.
The first thing is BART is split into 4 Zones for the BPD, each zone contains specific stations. Zone 1 is where fruitvale is if I have read all the info correctly, apparently it has different zones for BPD then it does for the board of director districts, w/e. The BART Police Department's main headquarters and Zone 1 facility are located at 800 Madison Street, Oakland, CA 94607. This is also where the Lake Merritt BART station is located.
Second there is a public meeting of the board scheduled to meet at BART Board Room Kaiser Center 20th Street Mall, Third Floor, 344 -20th Street Oakland CA, on Thursday the 8th at 9:00 am to which the public is invited to join because they are discussing ticket price hikes. This would be a great place to start a protest. They even provide a easy to use directions pdf, http://www.bart.gov/docs/to_BART_Board.pdf
BPD Toll-free: 877.679.7000 To call any of the persons or sections below, call this toll-free number and press the last four digits of the phone number you wish to reach.
BPD Chief of Police: Gary Gee 510.464.7022, ggee [at] bart.gov
BPD Internal Affairs: Sergeant David Chlebowski 510.464.7029, dchlebo [at] bart.gov
PATROL BUREAU
BPD Patrol Commander: William (Travis) Gibson 510.464.7066, wgibson [at] bart.gov
BPD Zones 1 and 3 Days: Lieutenant William Schultz 510.464.7080, wschult [at] bart.gov
BPD Zones 1 and 3 Evening: Lieutenant Gary Cagaanan 510.464.7031, gcagaan [at] bart.gov
BPD Zones 1 and 3 Evening: Lieutenant Kevin Franklin 510.464.7772, kfrankl [at] bart.gov
Carole Ward Allen is the District 4 BART Director which is where fruitvale ends up. Because she is a elected official her information is posted on the BART website and is here http://www.bart.gov/docs/ward_allen.pdf she does not have an e-mail or office phone number listed on the BART website.

Unfortunately, or unconstitutionally, it's not unheard of for BART to shut down a station during a protest. See for example http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2008/11/06/18549304.php
