Thousands Take to the Street in SF against Masscre in Gaza (Pix)
Thousands gathered at the Israeli consulate in San Francisco on Tuesday December 30 to protest the attacks by Israel on the people in Gaza. [Organizers with Answer estimated 10,000 at the protest, my own estimate was about 3,000 to 5,000]. There were only a few hundred pro-Israeli protesters reveling in the slaughter of hundreds of Palestinians. The police attempted to keep the swelling number of protesters on the sidewalk but people broke through police lines and filled the streets. Many people carried homemade signs and photos of Gazans killed by the Israeli attack. The march was very spirited and angry with a large number of Palestinian youth setting the mood. People took over the entire width of Market street and stretched over many blocks.
