Breaking News From 12/30 San Francisco Protest For Gaza
7:30pm
Protesters marched around Civic Center and the up Van Ness and are currently marching back towards Van Ness and Market.
6:30pm Protesters now fill Market Street and are marching towards Civic Center.
6:10pm The crowd of those protesting against Israel's massacre in Gaza has grown to over ten thousand and has taken over Montgomery Street and is marching towards Market Street.
5:30pm: Several thousand protesters are lining the sidewalks in front of and across the street from the Israeli Consulate to protest the attack on Gaza. There are also several hundred pro-war protesters waving American and Israeli flags. Hundreds of police and dozens of cop cars fill the streets as the two crowds yell at each other. The sidewalk between the Montgomery BART station and the Israeli consulate is full of hundreds of more protesters (mainly pro-Palestine) heading to the protest.

You cant see much in the video but you can geta feel for the crowd size which is in the thousands and could be as high as 10,000.

Yesterday's demo and the consulate was inspiring: so many people, many of them children with their families. The authorities had no choice but to let us take the street! I should know better than to even consult the mainstream media... but I tuned in to KOFY's report once we finally made it home. The called us "anti-Israel," accused us of "mob-like" behavior (we were chanting), and interviewed a "Pro-Israel" woman who said that we had no idea about the historical context of the current bombing raids on Gaza....ridiculous.
