How could the CIA fail so miserably in 9/11 and Iraq? Author and journalist, John Diamond begins by looking at US intelligence between the end of the Cold War and the invasion of Iraq in early 2003. Diamond argues that while the CIA had a role in the successful outcome of the Cold War, it also became a source of ridicule. Faced with staff and budget reductions and a decline in morale, the Agency made critical misjudgments about Iraq and missed the emergence of al Qaeda. Come to an exclusive analysis of the CIA's history and future.
