Microcredit refers to very small loans for unsalaried borrowers with little or no collateral. Muhammad Yunus, the father of microcredit, explains it as being "based on the premise that the poor have skills which remain unutilized or underutilized." Dr. Liliane Koziol, a Madagascar expert, will introduce the concept of microcredit in Madagascar and explore the impact in the context of the ongoing development efforts of Madagascar at this FREE event.
