Remembering the victims of LGBTQ Hate Crimes: we will be collecting donations for the Richmond hate crime survivor, to assist in her recovery and relocation, as we call on Obama to fulfill his campaign promises for LGBTQ equality.
In an open letter to the LGBTQ community, Obama expressed his support for the full repeal of the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DoMA). He also encouraged the passage of a fully inclusive ENDA, new hate crimes legislation, and the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”
We cannot let Obama forget about his commitment to LGBTQ equality. Now is the time to push for what we deserve!
This protest will ONLY be successful if it rivals the scope and scale of the one in November. We are in the process of contacting JTI organizers in all cities around the country to ensure that this event is truly embraced NATIONALLY!
