A CHANCE TO GIVE BACK
Holiday Toy Drive for Children of the Canal District
This week the Canal Welcome Center is collecting toys for their Annual Holiday Children’s Party that will happen this Saturday, from 1 pm to 3 pm, at Pickleweed Park in San Rafael.
The Canal Welcome Center serves poor and low-income families of Marin county with employment services, counseling, business workshops and educational outreach.
NEEDED: TOYS, GIFT WRAPPING PAPER AND YOUR SUPPORT!!
Welcome Center is looking for educational toys to give out to the 300 children that will be attending the party on Saturday. The children, who come from low-income families, are ages 3 to 10 years old.
Welcome Center would be happy to receive any toy for these children, and especially educational toys such as puzzles, art supplies, and toys that do not depict “violence” of any kind.
Welcome Center would also be happy to receive holiday gift wrap paper and tape.

THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT, 6 p.m, people are invited to attend Welcome Center’s organizing evening for Saturday’s party. The center needs volunteers to gift wrap and plan for Saturday.
