After meeting for about 1/2 hr, we leave to do copwatching, so please get there on time.
Every Friday, 6pm, meet at the Redstone Building to meet-up, pick up the equipment (scanner, Know Your Rights cards, video and cameras and copwatch log, then we hit the streets. The night shift focuses on police abuse against those on the street, mostly mentally ill, and accused of poverty crimes.
Every Tuesday at 1pm we meet at Cafe le Bohem, on 16th street close to Mission, to observe police misconduct, Narc and Gang intervention units, ICE patrols and parked ICE vans. Aside from monitoring and passing out fliers containing hotline #s, we are promoting a direct response to ICE, by utilizing a phone tree or text mob system to bring out supporters, and we will use bullhorns and banners to inform all, until ICE has left a public area.
Every Wednesday, SF_COPWATCH also monitors SFPD activity and ICE check points in the Tenderloin District, corner of Hyde and Eddy starting point, at 1:30 pm for 2 hours.
Please participate, our collective is just starting and needs more members and equipment to be successful in this very important defense work. Thank you
