Now that a new Administration is coming on board promising more attention towards the war in Afghanistan, what should be the basis of the U.S. - Afghanistan relations? On UN Human Rights Day, join:
Rona Popal of the Fremont-based Afghan Coalition, one of the large diaspora in California;
Tamim Ansary - author of West of Kabul, East of New York writes and lecture about Afghanistan, Islamic history, democracy, schooling, etc;
William T. Vollmann - prolific author and journalist; books include: Rising Up and Rising Down some thoughts on violence, freedom and urgent means and An Afghanistan Picture Show with details of his time traveling with the mujahideen; and
Dr. Zaher Wahab - Professor of Education at Lewis & Clark College, Portland, OR; serves as a senior advisor to the Minister of Higher Education in Afghanistan
