Californians across the state will take action on November 19, 2008, to save the renters' rebate. The statewide day of action comes in response to Governor Schwarzenegger's unprecedented use of the line-item veto power to eliminate $191 million in tax rebates to low-income elderly and disabled Californians, including $150 million for renters. This was the governor's single biggest line-item veto in the budget.

The SF rally will be at Noon, Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the state building on McAllister & Van Ness. Our friends in Los Angeles and San Diego will be holding rallies too.

Don't let the Governor get away with it! Say no to balancing the budget on the backs of the poor.
