11/18 SF Press Conference With Injured Worker David Bell And Workers Compensation Crisis

Injured biotech Agraquest worker David Bell to provide evidence of criminal fraud by Agraquest owner Pam Marrone, Liberty Mutual and conflict of interest by California Workers Compensation Appeals judge Suzanne F. Dugan.

Press Conference And Testimony By Injured Workers

Date: 11/18/2008 Tuesday 4:00 PM

Place:CA State Building Workers' Comp Appeals Board 455 Golden Gate Ave. SF

Injured Davis, California biotech Agraquest worker David Bell was infected by bacteria and fungus in 1999 at his job that had been patented by the Davis based biotech company Agraquest. Agraquest CEO and owner Pam Marrone since that time has conspired along with her insurance company Liberty Mutual which is owned by Warren Buffet to avoid taking care of the healthcare costs of injured worker David Bell. These costs which amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars have been shifted onto the taxpayer through Social Security and SS Disability. This massive cost shifting scam is in fact costing the people of the United States billions of dollars as insurance companies and self insured employers refuse to take care of their injured workers and force their costs onto state, local and Federal public agencies.

Suzanne F. Duggan, the California workers compensation judge ruled against David Bell and refused to recluse herself from this case even though her previous law firm had represented Liberty Mutual. This systemic corruption and RICO operation is part and parcel of the insurance industry controlled workers compensation system.

Injured workers have called on California District Attorneys to prosecute fraud, the Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner, Attorney General Jerry Brown with no response and action.

The CCWMD has also met with US Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey who is subcommittee chair of the US Congressional Workplace committee and has sought to have US Congressional hearings on these health and safety issues as well as the massive cost shifting by the insurance industry.

David Bell and other injured workers will speak about the massive cover-up of criminal activity by their employers and insurance companies to cost shift their costs.
