A talk and multimedia presentation by Paul Larudee, who has just returned from Gaza, Palestine.
On August 23, 2008 two small boats, the SS Free Gaza and the SS Liberty, peacefully landed at the Port of Gaza, breaking the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip. When they arrived in Gaza, they were greeted by the cheers and joyful tears of thousands of Palestinians who came out to welcome them. On board the boats was a determined group of 44 international human rights activists from 17 countries organized by the Free Gaza Movement. Paul Larudee, a co-founder of the movement, was a member of the contingent. Don't miss Dr. Larudee's report of this historic event and what the participants experienced.
Donations gratefully accepted for the expenses of the human rights workers.
Co-sponsored by: South Alameda County Peace and Justice Coalition (SAPJC), Tri-City Peace and Justice (TCPJ), and All Saints Justice and Peace Committee.
