Ty Redhouse of Marysville, a veteran of the Iraq war, will speak at the Peace Connection on Tuesday, Nov. 11 (Veterans’ Day), 6:30 PM at Luna’s Café, 1414 16th St., Sac. He served eight years as an intelligence analyst in the USAF and participated in both Operations Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Iraqi Freedom (OIF). He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 2006. Ty has been attending vigils in the Sacramento area in uniform to emphasize his opposition to the war. Presently, he is an active member of Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW), an organization which conducted ctions at both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. He is currently working to start up a local IVAW
chapter.
