URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Socialist Conference Postponed to Dec. 6-7
All Out for Nov 15 Rally to Defend Gay Marriage

The International Socialist Organization has decided to postpone the Northern California Socialist Conference which was scheduled to take place on November 15 & 16 at San Francisco City College in order to participate in the Saturday, November 15 demonstration to defend the right to Gay Marriage. We feel this is the right thing to do for two primary reasons.

**************************************************************************************************************************************************

Are you sick of the mainstream media's excuses for war, economic crisis, racism, sexism, and homophobia? Do you want explanations that don't attempt to justify inequalities and imperialism, but seek to expose them? Come to this conference and discuss left wing ideas with hundreds of like minded people looking for change and to build the fight-back. There will be talks and discussions on many aspects of the crises that face us and debates about what we can do about them.
There will be workshops all day Saturday
with an evening panel featuring a conversation with un embedded journalist Dahr Jamail titled "The Wars and the Anti-war Movement".
The Sunday Sessions will take an in-depth look at the theory, history, and effects of the current economic crisis.

You can register for the conference at http://www.norcalsocialism.org
