No War, No Warming, a series of lectures & films on global climate change, presents Dr. Eugene Cordero speaking
about his new book:
Cool Cuisine: Taking the Bite Out of Global Warming
What if your food choices have a more profound impact on global warming than the car you drive? Join us as Eugene Cordero discusses the recent book, Cool Cuisine: Taking the Bite out of Global Warming that he coauthored with San Francisco Chef Laura Stec. Cool Cuisine explores the connections between the food we eat and our changing climate while also offering tasty solutions to reduce our carbon footprint.
Dr. Eugene Cordero is an Associate Professor in the Department of Meteorology at San Jose State University. His ongoing areas of research include the study of stratospheric processes and their role in affecting climate. He is also interested in how personal engagement and action-oriented learning can be used to teach climate change.
’Cool’ snacks provided. Wheelchair accessible.
Sponsored by the SJSU Meteorology Dept, Friday Peace Vigil, and the San Jose Peace and Justice Center
