Indigenous Imports will conduct a benefit "Trunk Show" sale for Accion Latina
Saturday October 25 & Sunday, October 26th

Join us for this rare opportunity to view and purchase one-of-a-kind,
traditional and vintage Mayan clothing. Enlighten yourself with
stories from an expert who can answer all your questions behind the
Highland Mayan who wears these beautiful hand woven huipils* and
ceremonial textiles. Displayed for sale will be high quality pieces
that represent nearly every local Guatemalan community.
Over 200 pieces will be available, all made originally for personal
use. The collection includes huipils, skirts, belts, tapestries and
more. Indigena Imports will provide us with textiles from nearly 100
different villages in order to showcase virtually all categories of
traditional Mayan wear. Don't miss this rare opportunity to own a
textile of one of our worlds most vivacious and refined folk art
traditions.
Accion Latina is a non-profit, San Francisco-based organization
founded in 1987 to promote social change and cultural pride in the
Latino community. The organization produces a bilingual newspaper, an
annual Latino music festival, and coordinates a journalism project for
the youth community.
