Civic Center Park in Berkeley on MLK Jr. Way, between Center & Allston next to the Farmer’s Market (near Downtown Berkeley BART)
Dan & Patricia Ellsberg, Tree Sitters for Mother Earth, Iraq Veterans, Cindy Sheehan, Barbara Becnel, and others will speak and receive the First Annual Hal Carlstad Social Justice Awards
Join us at the Civic center Peace Wall designed by Carolyna Marks in a joyful gathering to challenge the status quo of the corporate elite and extraordinary/ordinary people in our midst. We’ll have yoga, meditation, street theater, music and speakers for community participation in real change.
We believe we are called to do our part to save the planet for future generations. One of the best ways we can meet the challenges we face at this time in our world is by connecting with others in our community. Toward the end of the rally, between 4 and 4:30 PM, you are invited to join an affinity group of your choice.
Sponsored by BFUU Social Justice Ctee, Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, Cedar & Bonita, Berkeley
