Veterans Day:Tuesday, November 11, 2008
Eastside Arts Alliance
2277 International Blvd, Oakland
Admission is free, this event is wheelchair accessible
Description:
Join the Women of Color Resource Center (WCRC) in honoring Veterans Day by coming to hear the untold stories of women of color, and LGBTQ military veterans, at the first community screening of the Do Tell digital stories.
Do Tell is a new project of WCRC, bringing together veterans for a 4-day retreat, to begin to share their experiences through Digital Storytelling. The community launch is just the first opportunity to hear these stories; in the next few months WCRC will work to build an online space where the Do Tell stories will be available to the wider community.
There will also be a Q & A discussion with some of the participants, and all are welcome!
