Santa Cruz IVAW chapter members Kenny Sexton and Matt Childers will speak and
show photos/video of the joint military veteran demonstrations and other actions
at the Democratic and Republican National conventions, including police violence
and illegal arrests/harassment.
They'll also discuss the IVAW conference and the
disturbing police presence there and be available for Q & A.
The event also includes spoken word by Sandino Gomez, Childers and others and a
documentary
photo exhibit by Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran Jeremiah Ridgeway, whose photos
were featured in the Sept 10 issue of Good Times.
The evening will end with live music by the 70's retro band- The Reliques

$10 suggested donation, no one will be turned away for lack of funds- money
raised will go to the Santa Cruz chapter of IVAW, the Truth in Recruiting
Network and the Central Coast/Santa Cruz GI Rights Hotline (877.447.4487 or
831.359.0202, girightshotline.org). The event is sponsored by SC IVAW, the
Central Coast/Santa Cruz GI Rights Hotline, the Brown Berets and TIRN.
