Support Dee Allen, Being Tried on Phony Charges for Protesting the Minutemen
Thursday, October 2nd, 8 AM demonstration, 9 AM trial begins
850 Bryant St (betw. 6th, 7th Sts.) Trial in Dept 13 (2nd floor)
We stand in solidarity with Dee Allen, Black activist and poet, who was arrested and charged on falsified grounds the first time the Minuteman were in town. We are outraged that the City wastes increasingly scarce public funds on this prosecution, and on militarizing our impoverished streets. We stand in solidarity with immigrant workers under attack from Newsom, the SF police, and ICE and the Minutemen.
San Francisco is heralded as a bastion of progressive thought and deeds. Yet the Mayor's office is willing to implicate all SF immigrants as it revamps implementation of the sanctuary ordinance and decries, in chorus with the Chronicle, the ordinance as one which protects "known felons."
Please support Mr. Allen by coming on Thursday, October 2.
