This award-winning documentary explores the question every soldier must ask: Is it ever OK to kill another human being? Made with official permission from the US Army, "Soldiers of Conscience" includes never before seen footage of basic training and the war in Iraq, and interviews with a West Point professor and conscientious objectors on the morality of war. It provides a provocative exploration of questions of conscience, war and peace.

Associate Producer Ian Slattery will be available for discussion following.

Sponsored by the Council of Churches of Santa Clara County, more information can be found at http://www.councilofchurches-scc.org or call 408-297-2660.

A suggested donation of $5-15 is requested, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Students are welcome for free.

"Soldiers of Conscience" will be aired by PBS on October 16. Don't miss this unique opportunity to view the film followed by discussion with one of the producers and other community members.
