Dear friends,
Swarms of UC police have arrived at the Oak Grove this morning, along with workers. Tree-sit supporters say it looks like they may be preparing to cut the trees at any moment.
PLEASE come to the Oak Grove. We need your energy, your support, witnesses....

Starting at about 9 am this morning, UC employees identified as "arborists"
got to work "pruning" the Memorial Grove. They spent all morning cutting
limbs off sacred oak trees and grinding up woodchips. UC officials are still
saying they will give tree-sitters 72 hours notice before attempting any
eviction of them ... but in the course of cutting limbs off of the trees
they are occupying, UC put their lives in serious danger. As of about
12 noon, cutting was continuing, but the spirit of the tree-sitters
remained strong ... and dozens of supporters cheered them on
from the street below. This afternoon -- EVYERyONE PLEASE
go out the Oak Grove to bear witness & show your support!!
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
