Thurs Noon SF MySpace - Protest Excluding 3rd Parties from Debates & Corporate Domination
Anti-war Voices, Single Payer, Solar not Nuclear or "Clean" Coal, Justice for Palestinians, Repeal Taft Hartley, Living Wage for All Workers, Impeach Bush & Cheney, etc Voices are being excluded from the Presidential Debates. Thursday, September 4, noon in San Francisco for a demonstration at MySpace headquarters because they are collaborating with the Commission on Presidential Debates. CPD is a corporate financed two-party non-profit which has complete control of presidential debates. Their criteria prevents 3rd party participation; only Ross Perot has qualified. Candidates must be running in enough states to win the electoral college and have 15% support in the national polls.
A better alternative supported by Nader is the Citizens Debate Commission http://www.citizensdebate.org/
The Demonstration is timed to coincide with the 2nd national Open the Debates rally in Minneapolis, Sept. 4th During the Denver DNC rally there was a similar demonstration at the Beverly Hills office of MySpace.
The Demonstration is supported by Nader, McKinney, and Barr campaigns as well as the Libertarian, and Peace and Freedom parties.

Public viewing parties either in homes or in a public venue, school, restaurant or tavern are great fun. Seattle and San Francisco organized them for the Denver rally The Minneapolis rally starts at 5:30 pm PDT..

I work in this building. I looked for the protest twice but didn't see anything. Nothing was disturbed in the building or outside. The security guard chuckled when I asked him about it. I wouldn't have even known about this if our HR director hadn't forwarded us an email that we might need to be aware of it as we enter and exit the building.
I wanted to see this protest, but I blinked, and I guess I missed it. Keep givin' 'em hell, folks.

I think there were six women in NY who had the idea that women should have the right to vote.
I do not think the fact that there wee six of them did not stop them, but there were millions who derided them for being only six.

Much of my inattention to Green party politics (although I do plan on voting Green in Nov.) has to do with the Green's ..inability ? I don't know what it is...to identify compelling leaders. Nader has done alot but it's time for him to step aside and it's time to spend ALOT of time finding new leaders..Cynthia McKinney is no wallflower and yet every time i turn around Ralph, or Matt, is speaking for the national greens. Why? We need many leaders, not just one or two
The last poster hasn't been paying attention to( not that new) developments . Nader and Gonzalez are NOT running as Greens , they are on the Peace and Freedom party ballot in California . McKInney and Clemente are the Green candidates .
