Take Back Our Democracy – Join WILPF for our year kickoff
The first WILPF General Meeting for the 2008-09 year will feature a report-back from the WILPF National Congress in Des Moines. We hope you will work with us on one of three action-oriented projects we will focus on this year, designed at our annual meeting in August to address an urgent theme - "Take Back Our Democracy."
Ellen Murtha, past treasurer of U.S. WILPF, will report on the implementation of National's strategic plan and explain how this will impact our work in Santa Cruz. Other WILPFers who attended the Congress will share insights and ideas they gained from the informational sessions and guest speakers. A highlight of the evening will be a visual presentation by Paul Johnson and Jane Doyle of the many resources available to us at the International WILPF website.
Free, (donations always welcomed), open to everyone.
