September - Guest Speaker: Growing up Gay in Cuba
Jose Vega will share his story about life in Cuba, growing up being different, and seeking asylum from persecution for being gay. Jose is the Property Manager for Mission Creek Senior Community and is working to make this Mercy Housing community welcoming and safe for LGBT seniors. He recently returned from a trip to Cuba. He facilitates a LGBT Discussion Group at Mission Creek Senior Housing in SF - The First Wednesday of each month.
