BE THE CHANGE
This is an inspiring documentary from the Living Lightly Project about people who are living more lightly on the Earth, reducing their human footprint — and loving it. It explores the motivations for, and the challenges and rewards of, trying to live in a way less damaging to the Earth. This film celebrates the human spirit. It's made in the Ottawa region of Canada and produced by a well-known Canadian activist, David Chernushenko. The expression, "Be the Change," comes from Mahatma Ghandi who so wisely and wonderfully said: "What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy? We must be the change we wish to see."
Wheelchair accessible at our 411 28th Street entrance
Before and after the film, everyone's invited to indulge in our Humanist Vegetarian Tea House
$5 donations are accepted
