Last year's Antiwar-9/11 protest was very successful, this year NYC will feature Cynthia McKinney who is running for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and Green Party Presidential nominee! Rallies and demonstrations will be held in cities around the world.
If you are not able to make it to New York City September 11th 2008, plan a protest in your city locally. Send out press releases to news media affiliates announcing the event. Promote and distribute flyers around your town, post signs on billboards around campus.

As of this writing there has been nothing officially planned locally yet. Last year this was posted by someone and people were disappointed when nothing happened in Santa Cruz. I appreciate the fact that this time they made sure to state they are encouraging people to take the lead locally as opposed to giving the impression that something has already been organized here.

If nothing else, please come see the film "9/11 Truth Rising" at the Vets Hall the following Thursday (we tried to get it for the 11th but the venue was already booked), Sept.18th.
